I am certain that just as there are Cultural Catholics (those raised in a nominally Catholic milieu but possessing little or no faith) there are Cultural Mormons (decent Americans who don’t know or care little for the arcane and absurd doctrines of the Mormon faith into which they were unwillingly born).  I was hoping that Mitt Romney was one of those Mormons-in-name-only, but the RNC highlighted the seriousness with which he evidently approaches his religion (serving as a bishop in the LDS church).  I had hoped that I could cast a vote against the President, but I can not in good conscience vote for someone who believes the utter nonsense that comprises the doctrine of this Satanic cult.  Actually, I think that “Satanic” is a more respectable and manly word than what the Mormon religion suggests.  I’ll stay home on Election Day.
